The fish’s expression! #AlphabetChallenge #WeekWforWater
This is another point Democrats need to say over and over. Republicans are not against government subsidies. They just want the subsidies to go to them.

Really enjoyed @mikechenwriter.bsky.social’s latest.
okay also the AG survey notes a decline in average author income. but print book sales are pretty similar to what they were in 2009. rather than wondering where those profits are going, if it's not to authors, they're choosing to blame........public libraries. curious!

But also…these benefits are really tight boots with bootstraps that are barely hanging on. Digging out of poverty in the US is crazy hard without a helping hand.
💯 Shout it from the rooftops! And benefits help people survive when health or age makes work impossible. Part of a healthy society should be helping each other through hard times. It benefits everyone in the long run.
I don’t know of any author (worth reading) that isn’t 100% pro-library. They know that libraries produce readers, drive sales, and are an overall net positive for society in so many ways. My local library has evolved to meet the needs in our digital society, but it’s still book centered.
