Oh to be a little orange cat on a rug.
A mildly terrible trait I have when reading is that I tend not to notice or absorb things like dates in chapter headers, even in narratives that bounce around in time. It's rarely an issue; the text itself is usually clue enough that I don't need to pause and think about it.
But I /have/ been paying attention to the day counts in OtCoV. And I just had a realisation about how big the number is close to being and oh my god it's so horribly sad.
How is this series sustaining giving me Big Feelings four volumes in on so slender a premise??

I thiiiink because I saw Everina Maxwell talking about it in glowing terms? Maybe? But honestly the reasons for me buying books are often just "vibes seemed good" so I have no real idea what prompted it.
