In Mississippi, lawyers on both sides of a court case were caught using AI, essentially two LLMs arguing against each other. The judge dismissed all lawyers from the case and canceled the trial: www.404media.co/judge-learns...
This is an outrageous story. A farmer donated 87 acres to a small Texas city on the condition it be used as a public park. Years later, the farmer has passed away, the city sold the land to a developer, and now it will be the site of a 135,000 square foot data center www.404media.co/a-farmer-don...

first they were segregated from buying land so they had to build their own community on the outskirts. and while this should just be a very human story of a neighboring farmer donating land to a community he knew was being forgotten about, in our hellscape it means the people vs a data center

they are, at least, not pretending the data center will bring jobs the area.

a really incredible story about a childhood memory of a neighbor's generosity that was true and backed up by decades old paperwork. But it didn't matter. This is the story of how 90 acres of land donated for a park was sold for $10 million to become a data center
“It's very obvious to me that the choices that are being made are going to throw many people into poverty [...] they won't be able to get out and go somewhere else, and people who are benefiting from this are going to move on." www.404media.co/a-farmer-don...
