first they were segregated from buying land so they had to build their own community on the outskirts. and while this should just be a very human story of a neighboring farmer donating land to a community he knew was being forgotten about, in our hellscape it means the people vs a data center

This is Pamela Griffin. Back then, Black people weren't allowed to buy city land so her family settled outside, next to the farmer. Seeing them play baseball, the farmer told them he'd donate his land for a park—and put it in a deed. The city still sold it.
