Bulbs are condensed stems whose leaves store food & water. The bud scales of Lilium bulbs are fleshy leaves modified for storage. I dug this Lilium lancifolium from my garden. It's interesting to see that it has roots both below & above the bulb. #Lilium #bulb #Liliaceae #Botany 🌾🧪🌱
