First listen to #Inferno today, and I have to admit this is my favourite Boards of Canada album to date. It’s a nostalgic listen of an album about nostalgia, in the midst of apocalyptic levels of chronic cognitive biases, hedonistic presentism, and conspiratorially flavored hyper-stimulation.
Characteristics that define our hyper-real age; Neo-tribalism, emotive reasoning, chronic cognitive biases, unearned self-righteousness, hedonistic presentism, rapid onset amnesia, black & white thinking, conspiratorially flavored assumptions, addiction to hyper-stimulation, bad attitudes.
