The Hoatzin of South America is the only true obligate folivore (leaf-eater). Unlike most #birds, it ferments leaves in its digestive system like a cow. Most vegetarian birds are actually granivores (seed-eaters) or frugivores (fruit-eaters). A lot of them also eat insects.
