These were remarkable. Loved all his experiments with light, color, and technology (from charcoal and watercolors to video and iPad) -- and seeing the world through rendered through eyes. RIP, Hockney.

David Hockney (1937-2026) produced a large amount of art - but what sticks in my mind are video installations I'd seen in a retrospective show, travelling to the DeYoung a decade ago.
