Yes, our leaders love safe driving awareness campaigns because they don't cost any money and don't require making any changes that would make drivers mad (enforcement and infrastructure changes). There's one problem: Those campaigns aren't effective.

it’s frustrating bc there is little to no accountability for politicians who vote to close north minneapolis public schools. they actually get rewarded.

telling me schools won’t close without presenting actionable solutions to board directors & candidates pushing for school closures means nothing.
and continuing to avoid these difficult conversations, esp from Northside educators & voters, does not instill confidence in candidates ability to lead.
i am so thankful for my MPS school board director, Abdul Abdi. he truly takes the time to call and listen to his constituents.
he is the only school board member or candidate for board who is able to explain what the district is doing to keep ALL our schools’ doors, esp in North Minneapolis, open.
