I'd understand if Schaff was more passionate if Moana was one of his favorite movies of all time, and the joke/point was more or less him venting because of how the live action remake undermined said favorite, whether that part was omitted or not really there much to begin with.

What kept me in a grey area was the reactions my quote post got. I won't say any names because it wouldn't be right to, but it didn't feel like going over what was an overreaction, rather just trying to reinforce what he had said, and on my part I just rode off of that when I shouldn't have.
I don't like Schaff, but if things had escalated to that kind of point I'll fold. I'm not supporting, let alone seeing the live action Moana remake, but I was just put off by how he phrased himself.
If I didn't express myself in the best way or I just jumped to conclusions I'm sorry to those I hurt
More power to you if you like Schaff, I do not, but I just wanted to give my piece after taking some time to think with a clearer head.
Even more most of those who had come to his defense already had preconceived biases, and they were speaking on those and not as much why a stink was thrown over Schaff in the first place, to reaffirm, making a joke/point that wasn't handled the best.

An editor of his had put out a statement, but it's hard to discern how Schaff actually feels about the quote. If he says he sticks by his views but admits he didn't go about it the best way then fine, he gave his piece.
