This is nuts. The only reason to do this is the cruelty and the racism. It will actively harm the U.S. economy. We're not talking about undocumented migrant workers here. These are legal PERMANENT residents.

Fast-forward less than a year and a 4b open-weight model (Qwen3.5-4b) can do this now, albeit with some tweaking and offloading easier parts of the task to a Python wrapper. Now I can probably afford to put up a public demo (coming soon).

Today I'm saying goodbye to hylogic.com - a wonderful consulting company for automation in product supply. I learned a ton, it was a great adventure, and the only reason I'm leaving is that they are in Warsaw, and I'm in Berlin 🥹 It's very hard to effect change while fully remote. But it was fun!
Not sure we want to be less polarized. Also who gets to decide on policies like this? But it's an interesting thought.

Wow the regional split in Paris mayoral election!! Not every sports rivalry shows that level of partisanship! The overall left-right split is due to the dominant wind direction of course (I kid you not - read this thread: bsky.app/profile/elst... ) But still, very impressive and rather unusual!
