We've prioritized Breakfast After the Bell in Worcester County for the past 10 years. Feedback from students, teachers, parents and school nutrition staff all confirms that kids who get breakfast at school with their classmates are more successful in all areas.
It’s hard to believe it’s been over a month since The Walk for Hunger! Thousands of people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life gathered on Boston Common, united in the mission to combat hunger and build a food-secure future for Massachusetts. Hundreds more joined in from around the globe.
🎉 The Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) is about to reach an incredible milestone—$100 million earned by Massachusetts families since 2017! That investment has generated $188 million in local economic activity, strengthening our communities and supporting local farms.
At a time of rising food insecurity and reduced federal support, HIP is a lifeline for SNAP households. Thank you to our legislators for funding HIP in the FY27 budget and standing with us year after year!
We’re thrilled to share that Project Bread received a grant from Sincere Foundation! With this generous grant, Sincere Foundation directly supports Project Bread in helping food-insecure families put food on the table and advancing sustainable, long-term solutions to hunger. www.sincere.com
Congress passed the largest cut to SNAP in the program’s history last year, stripping $187 billion from a program that supports 38 million Americans. The House Farm Bill did nothing to reverse it. Now the Senate is writing its own version, and we need it to protect and strengthen SNAP!
Today marks 80 years of the National School Lunch Program. For generations, school meals have helped reduce hunger and support student success. We're celebrating this milestone and the impact school meals continue to have every day. 📸 Richmond County School System, GA
Thank you to everyone who showed up to The Walk to fight hunger! Read the recap: projectbread.org/news/58th-wa... #walkforhunger #antihunger #foodsecurity

But our work isn’t done. HIP’s success relies on families accessing SNAP, and they need better access. Additional funding for DTA caseworkers will help more eligible people access SNAP and HIP. Join our Action Team to stay up-to-date! mailchi.mp/4c44ac6e9cc9...
