More to the point, perhaps: Trump doesn’t consider our military personnel at all. He considers the military apparatus as a talking point and personal plaything, but he does not value the service to this country of any man or woman. And he never has.
Those who kowtow to Trump’s maniacal idiocy have at least one of two things in common: something to gain from him or something to lose. In both of these, service to country gets subsumed by service to self; only sustained pressure to change the calculation will make a difference.
One way Vivek Ramaswamy emulates Trump: he supports data centers, despite the harm they do to communities, because he would personally profit from their expansion in the state. Ohioans, he is not in this for you.
