This really doesn't get enough attention in the whole “should society restrict children's access to the Internet?” conversation. For a lot of kids, having access to the World Wide Web is the only way they're able to learn that what's happening to them even constitutes abuse in the first place.

most of the bad actors are someone kids know IRL anyway so restricting internet access like this just empowers abusive adults in their lives even more IMO.
