I think people are more sad that Jax could've turned out to be a very different person had she been more accepting of who she was and receptive to the people who reached out. It just adds to the cautionary tale of why you shouldn't be like Jax, someone who was deeply insecure about who she was.
Yeah, I get that. Transitioning isn't just going to magically change everything about someone and I've met some people who very much still carried the same problems with them post-transition. There's a level of acceptance of one's self that needs to come with it that Jax could benefit from though
