The next few days everything starts coming together. I’ve been printing up so much basing, I absolutely love my new Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra (not sponsored).
Emberstone and flames are now lit with various shades of orange and the turf has been given some muddy patches. Green wash to a few wood and stone features too. Next I glue on the models and then do the detail paint work (or flat out finish a few).

Saturday afternoon I had my first AoS Path to Glory game in the Ravaged Coast (FINALLY!!!). My 980 pts of Ironjawz faced my friend’s Disciples of Tzeentch force and… we won without losing a unit.
My MVP was my Anvil of Apotheosis hero, a Priest on Maw-Grunta(ish).

Forgot to mention the Vallejo Black Lava texture paint! This stuff dries like mossy earth (and makes your hands look like graphite).
I know Pokémon fans wanted to see an older Ash, but did they have to cremate him?

On one hand the amount of time this is taking is gnawing at me, I wanted this done by Saturday (not happening), on the other hand I am glad I’m not rushing this and getting it right. Still a lot to do, but I see the goal… finally!

I got a lot of work to do tomorrow, but it’s all coming together. Epic basing bits* + epoxy clay and after it dried, onto painting! After the bases are painted I’ll be gluing on my Ironjawz.

I’m currently working on basing for my Ironjawz. Watching #epicbasing videos, learning to work with epoxy clay and integrate 3D basing bits (also epic basing), etc. After seeing the detail my friend’s 16k printer achieved, I may need a new 3D printer.

Oh boy, I have been terrible about posting my progress as of late, but my Ironjawz are close to battle-ready. For our Path to Glory narrative game I have a custom hero, Orruk Priest on Maw-grunta. I went with Dark God’s Mad Iron Tuskernauth and an Orc from Titanforge.
