The EAVP Research Grant (ERG) 2026 is open! small grants to fund excavations, collection visits, conference travel & more. A special additional ERG is also available, for Ukrainian palaeontologists.

Happy 100th birthday to David Attenborough, whose Private Life of Plants got me into botany while I was still in grad school doing fruit fly developmental genetics, and ultimately changed my entire career path. I met him a few times when I worked at NHM London; he always seemed like a very nice man.
