The House just passed landmark workers’ rights legislation! 🎉 I'm grateful we were able to force a vote to cut through the bureaucracy and speed up the process to get a first contract without delay once a union is formed. This is a big win for workers across America. @laborcaucus.house.gov

Starbucks workers are fighting for a living wage. Last year, Starbucks’ CEO made more than $30 million while many baristas relied on SNAP and Medicaid to make ends meet. @sbworkersunited.org is working to change that and has already won elections at nearly 700 locations.

This week, we forced a vote & passed @norcross.house.gov' Faster Labor Contracts Act✊ This bill requires employers to bargain with organized workers within 10 days of voting to form their union. We're calling on the Senate to pass the bill & deliver for workers.

This afternoon, I met with the Air Line Pilots Association to discuss supporting the pilots who keep our aviation system moving. I'm grateful for the work ALPA members do every day and will continue supporting efforts to protect their safety and livelihoods.

I met with the Communication Workers of America this week. Conversations that discuss issues like affordable, reliable health care are always valuable to our working families.

Labor Caucus

This week my colleagues and I passed @norcross.house.gov's Faster Labor Contracts Act, requiring employers to speed up contract negotiations once a union is created. When workers do well, our economy thrives and our businesses do better.

A hard-earned union victory should mean a swift union contract. After forming a union, workers can wait over a year for a contract. Glad to pass the Faster Labor Contracts Act with @laborcaucus.house.gov to stop employers from dragging their feet & denying workers representation.
