Something I think about a lot is how both STAR WARS and RAIDERS were conceived by Lucas and Spielberg as intentionally cheesy — even-to-the-point-of-parody — throwbacks to old adventure serials but made them so well that audiences five decades ago and now unironically appreciate them as drama

Feeling very ahead of the curve. Saw these in Hastings at the start of the year, loved them and had a spare wall so took them home. Now the artist has an exhibition in Bexhill. The Middle Rooms until 30 June. It's all gulls, and he paints them with so much personality and really vibrant colours.
