Harvard economist Claudia Goldin helped WNBA players win a nearly 400% raise. Starting this season, players’ average salary will top $580,000.
This club is playing at other venues, like Mile High, while its own stadium is built. This is also a record crowd for any U.S. women’s professional sports league event:
Maybe the outlier but the women’s final four and other big women’s sporting events create a really cool vibe especially in mid sized cities, you get women’s focused podcasts etc. I actually would really not enjoy having to also commingle with the men’s final four crowd plus the jacked up hotels etc
Especially with the games on staggered days, I think it would be awesome to just have 4 straight days of college basketball in a single city.
I went to the Men's FF in '18 and it was such a cool city wide party. Adding 4 more schools would be awesome.
