I think I'm still kinda upset about it 30 years later. But not for the same reasons I was as a child. That one little event made a huge impact on me.
I remember one Christmas in the early 90s my parents got me Star Wars Monopoly. Then my dad wouldn't let me open it and play with it because it will be worth something one day because it was "limited edition". So it just sat in my closet and collected dust. I never got to play a game with it.
In retrospect this is very funny
