I couldn’t bring myself to watch the show's mythology conclude with Lynch (not Gordon Cole) talking to them in a random restaurant.
But when Season 3 was announced that October, I now knew more was coming and I finally felt free to watch it.
Windom Earle's briefcase.
Since BOB took Windom's soul and is also inside Mr. C, that's one reason why there's several Earle callbacks when it comes to the character.
Mr. C retrieved the briefcase when he went to the cabin and discovered Leo and the spiders.

Another #TwinPeaks mystery solved! The framed artwork from Agent Cooper’s Room 315 at The Great Northern Hotel is B.D. Hartwell’s “Autumn Splendor” created around 1960 for the Illinois Moulding Co. The crew most likely added the ceramic pheasants to the art. twinpeaksblog.com/2026/06/14/t...
The framed artwork in Dougie Jones’ bathroom during Part 4 of #TwinPeaks: The Return is “Clematis Madame Édouard André” drawn by Louise-Cécile Descamps-Sabouret in 1892. Clematis comes from a Greek word meaning “vine,” which is symbolic to me of Dougie’s climb.
