we're one of the few dodger-free sailboats in the marina. going upwind is an endurance race. the face freezes all the way through. in retrospect, i cannot believe we went on an ocean passage along the pacific coast like this. granted most of it was downwind or beam reach. the night watches tho 🙂↕️
porpoises 🥰
the neighboring boat has a loose halyard that's making a consistent cowbell sound when the wind blows a certain way
hey pnw, how about you ease up on the rain a bit and bring summer back? thanks. ---three sailors.
finally a gorgeous day. sailing out of the guemes channel into the rosario strait. 12-13 kt mild wind. we're making 4 kts upwind under mainsail only. jib is being trimmed to the furler.
