All uses of AI are costing someone… this sucks as the Game UI database is such a valuable resource.
60% drop in reviews if people even smell AI on your game - full supports the investors, developers, and publishers that took a hard "no gen-AI" stance, despite grifters' proclamations that they were "going to be left behind".

A game that was well on its way to my 2026 goty list turns out is using AI.
There was no steam disclosure, and the explanation has big "we didn't use it for the things we care about" energy that we gotta stop doing, man
Generative AI is truly a radioactive thing that poisons everything it touches

AI "assisted" Code is still generative AI and it's weird how people try to justify that it's not
Someone actually crunched the numbers, and using GenAI can decrease reviews for indie game on Steam (a useful proxy stat for sales) by as much as *58%* 🤖
I don’t want “a little” AI use in any game or art or writing, even if it makes it “easier” for you. It sours the whole thing. Just like I don’t want a little shit in my cake mix even if I don’t taste it in the final cake, or for the baker to not wash their hands because it’s faster.

I haven't had work in months.
I'm a good art director, expert pixel artist, and although I prefer to do art, I can also make entire games from start to finish if necessary, as pictured. Not the greatest coder, but I get the job done (like Chapell Roan I guess).

No reason to use AI. Using AI is basically shaming yourself, declaring yourself as unable to create art & write code, so you use a computer program that liars, thieves, and scammers use, a program that steals art & code from others to help you. How do you even look at yourself in the mirror?
@amnesty.org very based:
"Amnesty International finds that standalone generative AI systems, based on unlawful web scraping, depend on mass invasions of privacy by design, and are fundamentally incompatible with IHRL. As such, Amnesty International is calling for a prohibition of such systems."
