An email with some important updates will be sent to members later this week. If you're a BISA member, make sure you join up to be part of our mailing list! www.bisa.ac.uk/members/work...
This is the "pure cold rage" they were calling for
Are you at BISA? Fancy going down to the beach and doing some citizen science? Make sure you come to our event on Thursday at 18.30, after the panels.
We'll be meeting up with local group SeaCheck, for an interactive workshop - and there's a bar!
We hope you enjoyed #BISA2026. This was a great year for us - our event with SeaCheck was fantastic, and we won the working group of the year prize!
Three things to think about now:
Terrifying
Read the whole thread, but please think about this is particular. This will be the last of the OG convenors (including me) stepping down and it's so important that we hand over to people who will give the group the time and energy that it needs. Do get in touch if you're tempted and have questions.

The campsite has cleared (don't blame them) so I'm finishing my marking with the company of birds and rabbits.
(Year today since I did the job talk for my UoM job. Funny feeling)
Nice to be back home, but I had such a good time at BISA this year. Chaired and attended some great panels, and camping really elevated the experience. Also, won a prize and ran a citizen science side event that went really well. A good week.
