It's not really a beer festival in a rural British pub unless a stranger accidentally spills their drink on you and whilst then chatting, you discover the most tenuous thing in common prompting them to ask "I don't suppose you know ____" only to find out you in fact do.
The most dangerous thing about AI is not that the machines might one day think. It is that we are being trained, by men with enormous financial gains riding on our acquiescence, to stop thinking for ourselves.
Thank you for your prayers. I've been given some clarity and they've hospital have been proactive in putting a treatment plan in place. It's been a full on week and there's more to come so continued prayers would mean the world. But I am okay, I will be okay and I'm feeling thankful for our NHS.
Please pray, friends. I have some uncertain health stuff going on which has left our heads spinning. Calling the hospital tomorrow for (hopefully) some clarity and (if needed) a plan for treatment. Prayers for a miracle, for smooth next steps and for strength would be very appreciated 💛
Very important now for all of us who work with young people to make it very clear to them that they can still come to us about things they see online that scare or concern them, even if it's something they are banned from accessing, and we won't be angry with them.
Under 16s to be banned from social media, and a white supremacist who fuels riots on our streets, still allowed to run a whole platform.
