Reading Feeling at Home by @alvagotby.bsky.social
Really generative immanent critique of the housing justice movement and a great application of social reproduction theory to one of the most urgent political-economic problems rn given the role of homeownership and rents in political formation
It’s worse than “Gaza is being starved and destroyed and no one cares.” It’s that hundreds of millions *do* care and are powerless to stop it. We need a world where that can never happen, where the masses actually have political power.
Hey y'all! This week we have @alvagotby.bsky.social interviewing @reproutopia.bsky.social about Sophie's Enemy Feminisms ( @haymarketbooks.org ), the potential for liberatory feminism, and the necessity of reckoning with reactionary feminisms.
