If you don’t have a trans person in your current orbit it may be difficult to fully understand what is happening to them. There are extremely good reasons to help trans people if you can right now, in whatever way possible. Today is a day of visibility in a time where being visible is dangerous.

At some point I turned into a character from a dystopian sci-fi novel and I didn't even realize it at the time.
The more I try to untangle stuff in my head the more I realize yes, I have close relationships. But for various reasons in a lot of ways that's still hard to trust, to accept, or to get joy from. It's often more like feeling tolerated.
A weird ADHD challenge is that how other people show love doesn't always hit me in a way that feels good. So it helps to look at how someone is acting and go ok, the attempt is caring. Even if for me it feels rough.
