Moira's got several tattoos!
A horse across her back, who was her favorite horse growing up. (Her dad was a stablemaster.) One revolutionary slogan, Mars Is the Planet and People.
And Lucy's initials, gotten in a moment of angst.
Later she also gets a ruby in her navel.
"I need standards lowered and I need them to be lowered for everyone because I'm not dyslexic, I'm normal and YOU'VE got a problem!" is not a healthy attitude whether you're dyslexic or not.
What about accessibility for us hyperlexics? It's very hard for me to focus on books that don't challenge me at all.
Accessibility isn't about canceling marathons because some people can't run. It's about providing MORE different things so there's something for everyone!
I could totally get behind putting reading levels on books, including adult books, because plenty of adults struggle with reading for one reason or another.
But some people would hate it because they want to a) read easy things, and b) not be thought of as struggling.
You know the kind of person who doesn't want to work hard in school but also thinks being labeled as special needs is the worst thing that can ever happen. They don't want to be put in remedial reading. They want all the other reading classes BANNED so they don't have to feel dumb.
