Magic and tech go hand in hand when it comes to Alchemy. Without magic, alchemical machines cannot work. As for communication, while telepathy is a skill very few have developed, communicating across vast distances is something that has been a feat to achieve. There are a few ways this is done:
- Newspapers and chronicles, often shipped via trained flying beast
- Mail, which is maintained by a vast postal service that takes on the continent of Terres and now goes to Altzan
- And lastly, crystal communication devices that can do instantaneous face to face communication between devices
