Yup. I've lived through multiple ERVS schemes in my long (if undistinguished) academic career. Glen's article gives a good summary of how it feels. I'm relieved that I'm now at an age to be past caring on a personal level. But seeing the sector, friends & colleagues on the block is grim/depressing.
