That is...that is not how that works
There's absolutely zero reasons it's "bad" that isn't just legitimizing GOP conspiracist nonsense.
But all the govt has to do is restate their evidence to be "was going at least [lowest speed possible given the margin of error]."
It's an intersection of technology and law sure, b/c the cameras only trip at 11mph or greater the govt's argument becomes "he was going at least 11mph over" but because of the margin of error they can't actually prove that to the burden required.
"Gov't couldn't meet it's burden" it's really a novel legal technicality.
Was cited for 61mph in a 50mph
Learned cameras have a margin of error +/- 1mph
Govt is arguing "he was doing at least 11mph over"
Court: He could have been doing 10mph over cause of MOE, you can't meet your burden.
Tampering with evidence is a stretch, they're not trying to use these in actually evidentiary proceedings.
Lying to the public? It looks like they're stating "these are AI enhanced"
Definitely raising the risk of wrongful arrests.
Bottom line though, this AI enhancement shit is garbage.
Something clearly happened to our grocery store's freezers cause setting up a pickup order and EVERYTHING frozen is out of stock.
