whatever your thoughts on Bluesky and ATProto, I can say that having just spent the weekend hanging out with a ton of people involved with those projects in person, it’s a REALLY cool group. I do feel better about the future of the internet now.

as someone who has spent a lot of time around insufferable tech bros, the #ATmosphere conference was the least tech-bro infested tech conference I think I’ve ever been to (not counting RightsCon).
it was a really friendly, welcoming, and *very* diverse crowd. i was impressed.
