Nice to see that some people use the "Grid pages" preview. I use "Grid and gallery" myself.

By default up to 4 images on a post will be shown in a grid. More than 4 images will be show in a carousel.
You can change this in image preview settings.

Images are shown on multiple swipable pages of max 4 per page.
