It’s poetic that our primaries are at the same time as pride because pride was a resistance, rooted in joy, and love and happiness and inclusivity. And that’s what this campaign has been about. I’m so grateful to be supported by the Capital Stonewall Democrats @stonewalldems51.bsky.social.
The future of Wards 7 & 8 should create pathways for good education, for residents to own businesses, secure good-paying jobs, build wealth, and stay in the neighborhoods they love.
Ward 8 is rooted in so much joy and community. For far too long they’ve been portrayed as a community of lack.
The neighbors I talked with are asking for a fair shot, a responsive government, and a future where they can see themselves and their families succeed.
That’s the vision I’m fighting for.
Thank you to the volunteers who showed up, put in the work, and helped make sure our message is seen in every ward. Now let’s do our part. Early voting is underway, and every vote counts.
See a sign? Follow the instructions. Go vote, and rank Janeese Lewis George #1. 🗳️
Being elected requires showing up. I have worked alongside neighbors, community leaders, agencies, and organizations to solve problems together. By staying active in our neighborhoods and listening directly to residents, we can build solutions that reflect the needs of each community.
Wendy Glenn is a pillar in the Ward 8 community. She has always shown up for us, and our kids.
I’m honored to share values, and be endorsed by Wendy Glenn.
Today is the first day of in-person early voting.
I voted for both me, and you, for a people-first DC.
You can vote for a people-first DC at any vote center regardless of your address.
Let’s go vote, DC! Vote early!
Our Early Vote Ops team was all across the city building and installing signs at early vote locations to make sure voters know it’s time to vote.
