A plaque in Denver, Norfolk, at the home of Captain George Manby, who invented a way of firing a secure rope onto ships in distress. Financed by Anna Gurney [who learned to fire the Manby Mortar herself from her wheelchair] it saved over 1000 lives during his lifetime alone.
