I've heard similar from trans academics who are being turned down from positions despite being extremely well qualified. The universities have seen the mobs stirred up against trans professors and TAs and simply don't want to deal with it. They'll just simply pass on hiring them.

I (along with a number of other journalists) have just been tipped off that embedded in the code of their closed off website there IS what seems to be a list of some members.
You don't have to answer the door for the Feds. Do not voluntarily talk to the Feds. If they have a warrant signed by an actual judge, then they can do precisely what the warrant says.
But DO NOT TALK TO THE FEDS. Do not answer the door. If you're arrested, your only words are "I want a lawyer."
