I came in at the tail end, but yes, LiveJournal. I spent most of 2007-08 spending way too much time on there while I lived in Japan and it changed my life. Special shout-outs to early Dreamwidth, and Twitter back when you still had to send updates by text and you had your friends in your pocket.

Is the Phanatic doing drag? I'm so confused
Explain your @ So Timothy Zahn used "starladies" as an example of Star Wars fan pseudonyms in the dedication of one of his SW books. And there was already a "starlady" on LJ so I added 38 at the end (which is also a SW reference, because it's 19 x 2).
I impulse bought the licensed Thin Mint Chipwiches at the bodega yesterday and they are very good. Also slightly smaller than normal Chipwiches which is fun.
Star anise. I'm also very much 50-50 on squid.
amazing
Wait I know this name-OH GODDAMN IT RADIO CROWLEY
I know I spend too much time on here because as I walked outside just now, my brain said “actually the phrase ‘touch grass’ overvalues colonialist, ecologically damaging botanical aesthetics and it should really be encouraging people to touch native plant species”
Wow, this 3,400 year-old ancient Egyptian paint box still contains its original pigments! Looks similar to a modern-day set! An inscription tells us it belonged to Amenemope, Vizier during the reign of Amenhotep II. 📷 Cleveland Museum of Art www.clevelandart.org/art/1914.680 #Archaeology

I enjoy hating competitive imbalance in the MLB, and it’s frustrating to see teams like, say, the Nats repeatedly refuse to keep and pay the good players they have. Teams with vastly different payrolls playing each other seems absurd, and I am tired of the Dodgers. But I agree with Mike. (1/)
