Ok fine. My 2019 book Hall of Waters, if you want to revisit it, is a deeply prescient text on whiteness & U.S. misogynist cultural reaction, and I think further prescient when considering the Donald Judd essays in light of AI's impact on art.

Yes, self promotion sucks, academics, but if you don’t do it nobody will find out about your work. The point is to publish and be read, not publish and hope you are discovered by fate, lifted out of a humble and pure obscurity so that you may be both famous and retiring
