I miss movie tie-in games and I think we should bring them back. And I mean proper ol' fashioned, day-and-date with the movie games, not after-the-fact stuff like RoboCop: Rogue City and the like.
Yeah, they were mediocre-to-bad 90% of the time, but it was worth it for the few gems that weren't:

They were handed a perfectly market-tested Hollywood design with big eyes and Dreamworks eyebrows and decided "what if they were water-damaged puppets instead" and they were right for that

Nintendo's house style has become so thoroughly ossified that it's neat to see them branching out
