ICE deportations in California have increased by 78% since President Trump took office, and families are paying the price. At a time when 27% of California households are struggling to meet basic needs, mass deportation is projected to cost the average family $2,150 more per year by 2028.
For nearly 50 years, SF Pretrial Diversion has helped struggling people attain stability and stay out of jail. Now, the court wants to transfer pretrial supervision to the Adult Probation Department.
We object.
