I don't think there's ever been a time where straightforward videogame remakes (ie. not adaptation, which are always interesting) were more redundant that right now. It's so easy to load up an emulator and plug in a controller and just play the game without some hidden injection of AI slop.
Doing very early drafting on what will hopefully be my next book. It definitely won't be seeing the light of day for at least a few years so I pre-emptively wrote 'trillionaire' instead of 'billionaire' and it was really depressing.

As someone who used to work on licensed comics (Rugrats, Cartoon Network etc) it absolutely blows my mind that stuff like this is going out on official products. We'd get dragged over the coals if a spot colour was one Pantone reference out. Now? Sure, Donald has seven fingers. Why not?

Easily my GOTY-thus-far.
The only way one person can have a trillion dollars (or indeed a billion) is if they stole it from the rest of society, and the rest of society should forcibly take it back.
It's hard to articulate why this one feels more egregious and grim than the similar stories every day. Something about Disney not even giving a shit about how many fingers Donald has just feels like the bottom has fall out of the whole thing now.
