Some fun crazy news in this week’s Q and A feature - one of the Giants has a tiny chunk of a Premier League team: Ask the Giants: How excited are Bay Area baseball stars about the World Cup? www.sfchronicle.com/sports/giant... via @sfchronicle
From @annkillion, this is terrific: Dusty Baker has lived an extraordinary American life. Now he’s sharing his story www.sfchronicle.com/sports/annki... via @sfchronicle
With run in 10th, Giants end (yet another) three-city trip with win over Cubs in Chicago; some strange parallels with Saturday - but this time, SF prevails. More on Winn, Smith, Chapman, Devers: www.sfchronicle.com/sports/giant... via @sfchronicle
SF at CHC Casey Schmitt - LF Rafael Devers - 1B Luis Arraez - 2B Willy Adames - SS Jung Hoo Lee - RF Bryce Eldridge - DH Matt Chapman - 3B Daniel Susac - C Drew Gilbert - CF   RHP Trevor McDonald
One out from victory, Giants falter in extra-inning loss to Cubs; some late maneuvers don't pan out and team enters extra innings without Eldridge or Schmitt, fall 3-2 at Wrigley; plus, Roupp's strong work, mostly good defense - many positives in loss www.sfchronicle.com/sports/giant...
SF at CHC Casey Schmitt - LF Rafael Devers - 1B Luis Arraez - 2B Willy Adames - SS Jung Hoo Lee - RF Bryce Eldridge - DH  Matt Chapman - 3B Eric Haase - C Drew Gilbert - CF   RHP Landen Roupp
Giants blast seven home runs, including another grand slam, in rout of Cubs - a lot of crazy numbers in this, plus: toothpaste in the ear and a Voltron reference, so covering all the bases, which I guess makes sense for Team Grand Slam: www.sfchronicle.com/sports/giant... via @sfchronicle
Fletcher Byrd has some fun stories about the entire draft process - and then finally meeting Jonah for the first time Tuesday at Milwaukee (they'd only talked via video call before). Cox is Byrd's first-ever big-leaguer, a huge deal for any amateur scout.
Jonah Cox is such a fun story, coming up from Double A, I delved in a bit more and talked to Sonoma's Tommy/ Everidge, who helped Cox revamp his approach (he didn't really have one) and his signing scout, Fletcher Byrd of the A's www.sfchronicle.com/sports/giant...
