My scepticism was misplaced. Turns out Einstein did say this, and when you learn the context in which he said it, it's even more telling. See comment below from @jmalyon.bsky.social

This is attributed to Einstein but no source citation is ever provided. I'm unpersuaded he ever said such a thing, if only because measles, although particularly dangerous to children, is not a disease of childhood. Chicken pox is, and I suspect idiots like RFK Jr. have confused the two.
