I talked to a few friends still on active duty recently and they all said that everybody is just spinning wheels until he’s out and the lines of people to testify to send him and other senior officials to jail will wrap around to China.
Our anger is our birthright. It is justified. It is righteous.
Karmelo Anthony found guilt by jury that forbade Black people from serving.
Again.
Not to say it would have made a difference, but if you’re in a jury selection pool and these lawyers ask you “Can you put your biases aside and follow the judge’s instructions?” DO NOT hedge or say “I don’t know if I can put another Black man in jail.”
That’s how we get these all white juries.
In my experience, Black folks have zero problems convicting Black defendants.
It is also my experience that white people are far more likely to give a white defendant the benefit of the doubt.
