I really hate that emotional regulation is always about being calm & happy. It should also be about healthy & safe ways process anger and sadness. But those emotions are seen as "negative" π
So I always make fun of media when there's a Black man as a character written by white people bc they act and sound stereotypical. Anytime they show up on in a movie or tv show I say:
"I'm the brotha, and you the brotha, and we the brothas"
And my son cracks up every time lol
