Sometimes I'm asked: has Herefordshire joined the EU yet. I say: no, it's better if England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all apply together. Let's do it.

Politico does a good headline on WHILE YOU WERE (OR WEREN'T) SLEEPING. Starmer should wake up and see the reality that most Brits want urgent change on the economy which itself requires action on joining the EU again. @herefordshire4eu.bsky.social

I wrote a Substack on it too. “Heart of Europe” means something to pro-Europeans, because it’s *our* phrase. Starmer had better not be nicking our rejoin line in order to keep us outside the EU… …in doing so he’d be aggravating the very base he’s trying to appeal to in order to save himself.

Keir Starmer's speech today borrowed a stock phrase from European Movement UK's rejoin campaigning. Surely it wasn't just for 'vibes'. But if he really meant it, then where's the road map?
Dear Keir, "Britain at the heart of Europe” cannot mean anything but full EU membership - so what's the plan?
