But holy shit does it need to be emphasized that THESE LAWS ARE ALWAYS USED TO PERSECUTE AND PROSECUTE MARGINALIZED PEOPLE.
That is not an "often", that is an "always". That's why it's an unforgiveable civil rights violation.
