First sea swim of the season done. No photos - I wouldn't subject you to that! The road to the beach was closed before 1000 (car parks full) so we went at 4pm, which was better due to high tide.
A #Lancashire #spring walk full of bird song and life. Springtime along the River Lune – Back on the road again share.google/LcRXvuvKpWe2...
Lack of data and no wifi stopped me posting from the Outer Hebrides. Now we're home I can share pics. There are few trees & these around Lews Castle were pretty with bluebells. The rocky seascapes were the best. The stones at Calanais were remarkable and we had them to ourselves. And the beaches!
Whilst out walking, our lovely post lady delivered a parcel, along with a dog treat for Salty! If we're in he goes to the door to collect it himself, plus some fussing from 'Tracy-Post'. 😊
Back home, via lunch and a walk by Llyn Brenig.
Beautiful meadows on our morning walk from a small campsite that's also a smallholding in Llanwenog. The smallholding also used to have a Blacksmiths forge; perhaps the wrought iron gate was made here?
Enjoying a short break not far from home. Fairbourne for 2 nights, Llaneddwyn tonight then heading for Beddgelert tomorrow.
Salty's first train ride, on the Rheidol Valley steam railway. He soon settled his chin on the metal ledge and watched the world go by. We walked a hilly, forested 7km from the campsite to Devil's Bridge, then caught the train back to Aberffrwd.
Some lovely walking from this CL near Denbigh, including parts of the Offa's Dyke Path, followed by a well needed lunch. I've found a few campsites nearby to use as a base to walk sections of the North Wales Pilgrim's Way.
A very quiet night at Dysart Harbour, by Kirkcaldy on the Fife coast. Yesterday we visited the fascinating and lovely 16th Century Burgh of Culross, on the Firth of Forth.
