I lived in London for a time almost two decades ago, and the number of English people there who opined that it was terrible that immigrants were working in hospo and taking away jobs was only equalled by the number of English people who said they would never deign to work in hospo themselves...

Immigrants are taking our jobs! And if you kick them out of the country they take their labour and initiative with them, leaving unfilled vacancies and skill and enterprise shortages. So unfair of them!
